Vortex Optics sponsored the Vortex Outdoor Adventure Camps Fund scholarship with the Boone and Crockett Club and supplied binoculars and gear for the 2024 camp season. This fund assisted 39 youth campers from four different states to attend Boone and Crockett’s accredited youth conservation education program held at the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch in Dupuyer, Montana, this summer. Through their contribution, Vortex becomes a Silver Trailblazer in Conservation sponsor of the Boone and Crockett Club, joining other corporate partners in support of the Club’s overall mission to promote the conservation and management of wildlife, especially big game and its habitat, to preserve and encourage hunting, and to maintain the highest ethical standards of fair chase and sportsmanship in North America.

“Vortex’s continued commitment to assisting our youth ensures the future of our wildlife will be in good hands. Research, science, and first-hand experience are essential in wildlife conservation efforts and our conservation education programs help kids understand more about wildlife and the success of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Our programs strive to offer perspectives that will foster an understanding of natural resources, wildlife conservation, sustainable development, and stewardship of the land to build a common ground for sustaining healthy ecosystems,” said Tony Schoonen, Chief Executive Officer of the Boone and Crockett Club. “Vortex’s contribution to the Outdoor Adventure Camp scholarship program as well as the new Bantam youth binoculars donated to the program help us accomplish our mission and give our partners in the outdoor industry an opportunity to get actively involved in the Club’s efforts.”

Since its founding by Theodore Roosevelt in 1887 the Boone and Crockett Club and its members led the development of policies that protected federal public lands, developed the frameworks of modern game laws, funded conservation efforts, and reinforced the vision of sustainable use of our natural resources. Throughout its history, these accomplishments have been supported through strategic partnerships with state and federal agencies, policy makers, other non-governmental hunter-conservationist organizations, universities, and business and industry. The Boone and Crockett Club’s Trailblazers in Conservation partnership program aims to help today’s hunting community rise to the challenges of a changing world. Becoming a Trailblazer in Conservation shows the commitment from industry partners and others to support the mutual interests of scientific wildlife management, hunter ethics, and conservation advocacy.

“We’re honored to support Boone and Crockett Club’s incredible work through these conservation education camps,” said Vortex Brand and Marketing Communications Manager Sawyer Briel. “It is up to all of us to make a conscious effort to get more folks of all ages interested in the outdoors, and what B&C has done for these kids is an incredible step in the right direction. We will continue to do whatever we can to ensure that this momentum continues.”
