When you picture waterfowl, whitewater isn’t often the first thing that comes to mind. But for biologists studying harlequin ducks, rapids are a rite of passage—and a challenge.

New Record Grizzly Confirmed

At the 32nd Big Game Awards Judges Panel, Boone and Crockett Club Official Measurers recently confirmed the measurements of the largest hunter-killed grizzly ever recorded.    

The hunt for a grizzly started in the spring of 2024, when Brian van Lanen hunted with Freelance Outdoor Adventure’s guide John Rydeen and good friend Milan Marcetta.

32nd Big Game Awards Judges Panel and Media Summit Wraps Up

The Boone and Crockett Club descended on Springfield, Missouri, during the third week in April for the 32nd Big Game Awards Judges Panel and Media Summit. There were 27 Official Measurers and 11 media representatives joining staff as the mounts were panel scored.
