Fiocchi Returns as Presenting Sponsor of Boone and Crockett Club’s 32nd Big Game Awards Judges Panel and Media Summit

The Boone and Crockett Club is honored to announce CSG member Fiocchi of America as the presenting sponsor of the 32nd Triennial Big Game Awards Judges Panel and Media Summit being held this week in Springfield, Missouri. Fiocchi is also the proud sponsor of the Club’s prestigious Hunt Fair Chase Award and the Whitetail/Coues’ deer display. During the Judges Panel, Boone and Crockett’s top Official Measurers will work in pairs to confirm the final scores for the most remarkable mounts accepted into the Club’s record book over the past three years. The Media Summit invites a small group of outdoor media professionals to learn more about the Boone and Crockett Club and get an inside look into the meticulous judging process as well as the significance of the big game records program; participants will also get a behind the scenes look at Fiocchi’s Ozark-based manufacturing facility. The Judges Panel and Media Summit is the kickoff to the 32nd Big Game Awards display that opens on May 1 in Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium.

The Boone and Crockett Club has been measuring the antlers, horns, and skulls of North American big game since 1895 with the original vision of creating a record of what was thought to be the vanishing wildlife in the country. Conservation efforts initiated by sportsmen helped to recover species and records-keeping helps to document these conservation successes. The 32nd Big Game Awards honors the most exceptional animals into the Boone and Crockett’s records program since January 2022. This event is more than a celebration of hunting achievements; it highlights the vital role conservation plays in preserving North America’s wildlife heritage, a mission deeply rooted in the Club’s history since its founding in 1887.

This year’s judges panel includes 27 official measurers from across the United States and Canada. Each of the measurers has decades of experience measuring trophies, and some have been measuring for the Boone and Crockett Club since the 1970s. The judges work in teams of two and each mount is scored by two separate teams who work independently to verify the final score for the animal.

After the mounts are panel scored, they will be hung in the 32nd Big Game Awards display in the Bucks and Bulls Hall of Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. The display, which will open on May 1st, will provide Wonders of Wildlife attendees an unparalleled opportunity to view this collection of wildlife and conservation success that will only ever be seen all together in this display.
