Despite his intelligence, much of what Grandad taught about fair chase hunting ethics dates back to the late 1800s, when pioneering hunters established the esteemed Boone and Crockett Club. Their enduring vision extended far beyond that era.

As the cornerstone of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, Boone and Crockett secured millions of acres for future generations, brought the concept of hunters as conservationists into the American mainstream, and helped create a wealth of wildlife-focused legislation. They also inspired the formation of other conservation organizations, such as Ducks Unlimited. Boone and Crockett Club's Tony Schoonen and Luke Coccoli vividly recount 137 years of determined efforts and significant milestones that have turned America into a premier destination for hunting wild animals. Our forebears, recognizing the need to "borrow from future generations," took decisive action to preserve our wildlife heritage. The question now is, do we have the resolve to continue their legacy?
