YETI joins as sponsor for one of North America's longest-running celebrations of big-game conservation and management - the Boone and Crockett Club 29th Big Game Awards, scheduled for July 14-16, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.

The triennial Boone and Crockett Club 29th Big Game Awards will take place at the Bass Pro Shops flagship store in Springfield. The event offers a public exhibition of World's Records and Top-5 trophies in all categories of native North American big game, plus records-book specimens taken during the past three years by hunters age 16 and under.

"This is an opportunity for the public to appreciate big game trophies for what they really are, symbols of the success of America's conservation system," said Club President Morrie Stevens. "The trophies on display are a result of sustainable use conservation and verification that science-informed programs are working to ensure wildlife for future generations."

YETI Hunting Marketing Manager Ben O'Brien said, "YETI is committed to supporting the pursuits that laid the groundwork for our products and brand. We will remain active in championing wildlife management, fair chase hunting, and conservation.  Getting behind events like the Big Game Awards is the perfect way to continue our mission."

Stevens added, "We couldn't possibly safeguard regulated public hunting as a significant mechanism for wildlife conservation without the steadfast support from companies like YETI, which help shape the outdoor experience for sportsmen. YETI understands the importance of what wildlife conservation means to future generations and are willing to invest in that future."

In October 2016, the Club will release its newest record book, 29th Big Game Awards. The next edition in its popular and collectible book series will feature nearly 4,000 new Boone and Crockett-qualifying trophies entered and accepted during the 29th Awards period (2013-2015) in 36 different categories of North American big game, from whitetail to walrus.

Boone and Crockett Club began keeping trophy records in 1906 as a way of detailing species once headed for extinction. Today, trophy data reflect population health and habitat quality. Biologists compare and contrast records to improve local management strategies as well as state and federal wildlife polices.

To date, the growing list of sponsors for the Boone and Crockett Club 29th Big Game Awards includes Wild Sheep Foundation, Federal Premium Ammunition, Dallas Safari Club, DNZ Products, Americase, Weatherby, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Kimber Manufacturing, Buck Knives, the Mule Deer Foundation, the Guide and Outfitters Association of British Columbia, Bear Trust International, Yellowstone Press  and Leupold & Stevens.
