The year was 1893. Grant had many successful years representing the Club, but he also became one of America’s most controversial figures.

Two separate studies from the Government Accountability Offices (GAO) and the Notre Dame Law School confirm that legal fee reimbursements going to environmental groups suing the government, contrary to intent of Congress and without accountability for costs.
