2026 Demmer Scholars Program Update

Demmer scholars don’t just build their professional skills in internships, they build physical and mental fitness in field trips as well. At Harper’s Ferry WV, scholars hiked to the Maryland Heights overlook above the town. The hike involved discussion of unique geology, wildlife, and economic opportunities of conservation.

Poach and Pay - 2026 Update

The Boone and Crockett Club’s Poach and Pay research was released in September 2025, and recent activities have shown the program continues to have traction.

The Boone and Crockett Club has been measuring antlers, horns, skulls, and tusks of North American big game since 1895, with the original vision of creating a record of what was thought to be the vanishing wildlife in the country.
