Two separate studies from the Government Accountability Offices (GAO) and the Notre Dame Law School confirm that legal fee reimbursements going to environmental groups suing the government, contrary to intent of Congress and without accountability for costs.

Boone and Crockett Club president emeritus, Lowell Baier released his findings on EAJA lawsuits impacting wildlife funding and taxpayer dollars back in February of 2011. Since then the Club has played a major role in researching this issue and possible solutions. Today’s findings further support the need to reform this Act, which has already been proposed through the Government Litigations Savings Act that was introduced to Congress in May of 2011.
