The Latest News in Conservation
The Boone and Crockett Club once again partnered with Robert Anderson to release Great Rams IV - the fourth installment of a series of books filled with stories of legendary sheep hunters and guides, photography and an in-depth look at the history of sheep conservation, hunting and sheep hunters.
"The pursuit of mountain sheep is one of the toughest and most rewarding endeavors in all of hunting," said Buck Buckner, Boone and Crockett Club's vice president of Big Game Records. "This book is a testament to the value we place on these special animals, featuring their history, and the stories of those who have taken up the ultimate chase. Everyone who appreciates wild places and wild things should know that because we still have great rams living among the mountain peaks today, this means that hunter-supported conservation is working. Sportsmen in particular will enjoy each page of this book."
Great Rams IV contains nearly 500 vintage and contemporary photos from decades of sheep hunting, plus a special photo essay of rams in the wild. Twelve total chapters guide readers along hunting adventures in Alaska, Colorado and Yukon. An in-depth look at the history of sheep hunters includes an extensive field photo chapter. As a bonus, the book contains a complete list of official B&C trophies for wild sheep from the beginning of B&C's record-keeping activities from the early 1900s through September 30, 2018.
Great Rams IV contains nearly 100 more pages than the previous edition. Each book is available in a high-quality, hard cover edition that collectors will appreciate and is signed by the author Robert Anderson. New and signed previous editions are also available individually or as part of a four-edition set.
