The Latest News in Conservation
BookYourHunt.com is the latest to lend its support by sponsoring one of North America's longest-running celebrations of big-game conservation and management - the Boone and Crockett Club 29th Big Game Awards, scheduled for July 14-16, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.
The triennial Boone and Crockett Club 29th Big Game Awards will take place at the Bass Pro Shops flagship store in Springfield. The event offers a public exhibition of World's Records and Top 5 animals in all categories of native North American big game, plus records-book specimens taken during the past three years by hunters age 16 and under.
"This is an opportunity for the public to celebrate our hunting heritage and learn more about the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation", said Club President Morrie Stevens. "The big game specimens are a result of sustainable use conservation and verification that science-informed programs are working to ensure wildlife for future generations."
BookYourHunt Director of North America James Reed said, "BookYourHunt.com and Boone and Crockett share the same passion for supporting fair-chase hunting. Fair chase is an expression of an overall conservation ethic that sportsmen have carried forward for over a century. We are proud to lend our support to an organization and an event that celebrates this fact, and honors the great game animals we hunt, as well as our responsibility to conserve them."
Stevens added, "BookYourHunt.com is dedicated to supporting conservation of wildlife all around the world. Being the number one online way to book a hunting adventure provides a large reach for promoting fair-chase hunting. BookYourHunt.com is helping spread the word about the positive effects of ethical hunting. They are a great addition to our Big Game Awards."

Boone and Crockett Club began keeping records of harvested animals in 1906 as a way of detailing species once headed for extinction. Thanks largely to conservation efforts by hunters and anglers, many of those once-imperiled species are thriving today. Truly, the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation has been a success!
