Employment Opportunity with the Boone and Crockett Club

Job Title: Graphic Designer

 Job Summary: This full-time position is responsible for design and production support of printed and digital materials and collateral for the Boone and Crockett Club and Foundation to include but not limited to magazines, catalogs, flyers, envelopes, letterhead, photography, web pages and web graphics. Individual must be located in Missoula, Montana.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the Club’s Deputy Director of Communications to coordinate and produce in-house graphic design needs such as the marketing flyers, catalogs, flyers, booklets, posters, letterhead, envelopes, committee reports, membership directory and other collateral as needed by Committees within the Club.
  • Work in conjunction with the Club’s Deputy Director of Communications to coordinate and produce web pages, web products, and graphics in Drupal, as well as social media graphics as needed by Committees within the Club.
  • Produce and upload digital editions of publications including formats such as PDF, and ISSUU.
  • Coordinate photo and image research for various requests for Club graphics to the outdoor press, publishers, etc.
  • Scanning, keywording, requesting digital files, and file upload for all accepted field photos, meeting photography, etc.
  • Create graphics and manage mailing lists in Mailchimp.
  • Multitask between regular task requests, small projects and work as a team on larger projects.
  • Work within brand standards, messaging, and style guides.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Mac OS X operating system.
  • Proficiency in the following software programs: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Bridge), Keynote, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and basic knowledge of video editing.
  • Knowledge of Graphics Design principles, production, layout and design.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and web design concepts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the printing process from design to finished product for magazines, catalogs, flyers, and bound books.
  • Be able to work and coordinate projects with a variety of members and staff.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in art/graphic design or related area.
  • Experience working in the field of design and production preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional travel.
